Are we in a communication revolution era? Has the time come for the phone system you use on a daily basis to become obsolete? Remember the Jetsons? Think about the way we communicated with each other 5 or even 10 years ago and how it compares to the the way we communicate today. Remember when no one had a cell phone except the very rich? Today, everyone and their uncle has one! How about the microwave oven? When this technology first came out it cost anywhere between 0 to ,000 bucks! These days, you can now walk into a Home Depot or a WalMart and pull one off the shelf for about .00! The list goes on and on, and now we are about to enter into a new shift of technology with the video phone. What? You have not heard of a video phone? Do you remember when George Jetson would get fired by his boss Mr. Spacley and it was on a video phone. I remember thinking that was the coolest thing ever. This has been a long time coming but I am really excited to say that this technology is finally here my friends! The best part of all of this is that the bugs have been taken out! Well, technology just keeps getting better and better every day. Now, the video phone will automatically download any updates. You do not have to do a thing! All you need to do is keep the video phone on and the phone does the rest automatically.
The video phones of today has all the bells and whistles some even have more feature than your regular phones (land line phones). The advanced phones even allows you to stay local! It allows you to create a virtual phone number from any domestic area code - no matter where you live. Technology is great! Of course, the video phone has all the "regular" features as your land line phone such as call waiting, call forwarding, a built-in address book, built-in answering machine and most importantly a 911 feature for emergencies. The other feature advantage that the video phone has that your regular phone does not is that when the phone is not in use it functions as a photo frame that allows you to use your SD card from a digital camera to download pictures and slide shows on your video phone screen. The picture quality is very good and there are no distortions like you may get on some other telecommunication tools. The pictures are so clear that you are actual able to see the background of the person you are speaking to. With all these advancements in technology, I am wondering what is in store for us in the future next? Got to love technology! Imagine someday being able to get into a time machine and go for a spin down to Key West or push a button in the kitchen and out comes a turkey dinner just like our friends on the Jetsons. Wow, if our great grand parents are looking down at us now from above (hopefully) I wonder if they would be proud of the way things have changed for the better and how technology has enhanced all of our lives or are they thinking to themselves, society has become very lazy? Would you agree that we are all lucky to be able to have all of this great technology at our fingertips! All we had when my generation was growing up was coloring books and crayons to play with. Alright, enough joking around. Technology is no joke and very soon every household will have a videophone.
