Around February 2006, Pioneer Corporation launched their CDJ-800 digital turntable. You will fell in love with its looks due to its well-designed gun-metal finishing that illustrates a look of a high-performance model.
Just like other digital turntables that Pioneer launches, CDJ-800 has the ability to grab the audio and scratch it just like your traditional vinyl. Pioneer has added a couple of good features and one of which is the 'Quick Return'. What Quick Return does is it will allow you to bring back the audio by the touch of its platter. You will be able to control how far you would like to replay your beat and do scratching at the same time.
Digital Picture Frames
Another cool feature that the CDJ-800 has is its Master Tempo and Cue memory. Its 'Master Tempo' allow you to adjust your beat in a plus one-hundred or minus one-hundred percent. It will not alter the pitch of your audio even if the speed is changing. On the other hand, the Cue memory allows you to save a cue point on your internal memory. Since its storage capacity is big, you can locate your cue points right away.
The CDJ-800 also has a 'Reverse Mode' on it. However, instead of a switch, it has a Reverse button which makes it easier for you to enable once on stage.
The Beat Cutter of CDJ-800 is really amazing. On its upper left section is where you can find its beat cutting buttons. You will have the option of setting your beat in a one beat mode and you can cut your beat in half beat, quarter beat, or one-eighth of a beat. When you create a loop and you press one of those buttons, you will find how quick it is to change the beat in a push of these buttons.
One downside to it is that it does not have an MMC slot like the other model do. However, it's not that bad. This may not have an MMC but it can sure store a cue or loop per CD that can amount to a total of 500 CDs. The CDJ-800 is not only designed for professional DJs but those who are new to this stuff can easily follow through its unique and self-explained features which is definitely user-friendly.
